Dan McLaren is the President of Commonwealth Mortgage Corporation and Commonwealth Benefits Corporation. Dan has been in the financial services field for almost 20-years. Prior to founding Commonwealth, Dan was a Commercial Loans Officer for a major Canadian bank. Dan was raised on Vancouver Island. He moved to Prince George in 1997.

Dan completed his sub-mortgage broker’s course through the University of British Columbia in 1993. He completed the Canadian Securities Course, with Honours, in 1994. He has also attended the University of Victoria and the University of Northern British Columbia. Dan is presently enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) course of studies.

When he finds time, Dan enjoys golf and sailing. Although most of his free time is spent at his cabin at Cluculz Lake. Dan is married and has 2 wonderful children.

Nagina Banger has been a Financial Advisor with Commonwealth since 1999. He entered the life insurance industry in 1996. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Nagina was employed by a major East Indian bank. He moved to Canada in 1991.

Nagina completed his Bachelor of Arts program at the Punjab University, Chandigarh (India) in 1982. He completed his Master’s degree (History) shortly thereafter. Nagina continues to upgrade his skills through numerous industry related courses.

Nagina is well known throughout the Indo-Canadian community. In addition to his expanding practise, Nagina has proven to be of great assistance in helping newly landed immigrants.

Nagina is married to Sukwhinder (Sue). They have two wonderful girls and one energetic son. Nagina spends most of his free time ferrying kids between soccer practises. He is lucky to have the added support of his Mother and Father.

Gaetano Mauro has been in the financial services industry for 4 years. Prior to joining the Commonwealth Financial team of advisors, Gaetano was employed by a major Canadian brokerage firm, and a major Canadian bank. In addition to his prior experience in the Financial Services Industry, Gaetano was a Realtor for 20 years.

Gaetano completed his Real Estate Salesperson / Sub Mortgage broker course through UBC in 1980. He completed the Canadian Securities Course with Honours in 2001, and is presently enrolled in the PFPC through the Canadian Securities Institute.
In the past Gaetano has attended the University of Northern BC.

Gaetano is married and has 3 grown children, 2 of which still reside in Prince George. He has been a life long soccer fanatic, and has played, coached and managed at various levels. The highlight of his soccer career would have to be coaching a team to a Provincial Championship in 2001.

Lavinra works in our Coquitlam office as a Mortgage Officer.

Tony works out of Vancouver. He provides clients with individual needs-based Mortgage, Investment and Insurance advice.
