At Commonwealth, we are bullish about the north. While many financial services firms have chosen to be headquartered outside the north, we proudly embrace the northern lifestyle.
Like most northerners, we believe in the three-C’s: Character, Commitment & Community. To be successful you have to demonstrate a passion for all three.
At Commonwealth, we are proud to support a number of worthwhile northern causes. In fact, in relative terms, we are one of the largest corporate donors in Prince George.
As we celebrate our 13th anniversary, we can reflect on our short history with pride. Perhaps even more importantly, we can look to the future with even greater hope and optimism.
Thanks Prince George, you’re the greatest!
Yours truly,
D.R. McLaren
President

The Commonwealth Cup golf tournament is an annual fundraising event with all proceeds going to the children's programs at The Exploration Place Science Center and Museum and the Canuck Place Children's Hospice. The tournament is growing tremendously every year and is an event that not only Commonwealth Financial, but our entire community is proud of.

Since CKPG’s founder, Cecile Elphicke went on the air in 1947 there’s been lots of action. It’s hard to think of a worthwhile cause where the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group hasn’t played a leadership role. From outstanding news coverage to light hearted entertainment, from sponsorship of charitable events, to covering City Council meetings, the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group has been an award winning station that has made Prince George proud.
This year, the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as the Business Community Booster of the Year. With a media team like this...northern BC’s broadcast future will be in good hands. Here’s to another 60 years of Celebrating the Northern Spirit!
